Mélissa Rosca

After graduating with a Master's degree in Communication and Public Relations, I decided to fulfill a dream I'd had since childhood: to travel the world, discovering new cultures and horizons. This journey opened my eyes to my true passion, which is much more than simply capturing images: it's a fascination for human beings in all their diversity and richness.

Trip after trip, I learned to observe, listen and interact with the people I met. I've discovered that every individual has a story to tell, that every culture contains its own treasures, and that every personality is a world in itself. It was this fascination with personal stories, unique cultures and singular personalities that inspired me to dedicate myself to documentary photography.

My work is based on the conviction that humanity abounds in authentic stories, generosity and beauty. I particularly enjoy highlighting the resilience and determination of individuals to preserve their cultures, traditions and protect their environment. Through my lens, I want to capture the essence of the human in all its splendor, inner strength and vulnerability. My aim is to tell inspiring stories, to celebrate the cultural diversity of our world and to encourage the preservation of the traditions and environment in which these communities live.

Every moment I capture, every story I tell, is an invitation to see the world from a new angle, to develop a deeper understanding and authentic connection with the people I photograph. It's an ongoing journey, a perpetual learning experience, and a celebration of the richness of our humanity.

In 2024, I decided to join the TL4 class at Transmission Photo to specialise in photojournalism and documentary photography, and so joined the Hans Lucas press distribution agency.
